For the four guys making this trip, Don, John, Dave and Cliff, this will be the first ride that we have all been on together. We are connected by a common faith, college experiences, great life-.mates (our wives are sending us out with their blessings) and a real love of two-wheeled adventures. The plan is to leave from Grass Valley CA on February 28. We will transport the bikes to Chula Vista and leave early on the morning of March 1 for Mike's Sky Ranch.

    Hi Don! What you failed to mention was the anticipation for adventure, the state of being "amped", and the amazing preparation of your bikes. Have tons of fun! Caroline

    "Transport the bikes"? What kind of trip is that? If the german shepherd is still at Mike's, give him a scratch behind the ears for me. Looking forward to getting the full report when you're back. But be forewarned: the kitchen may be done on your return...

    Hi guys, Its a rainy Sunday afternoon so I'm watching the Nascar race and the BMW Baja race at the same time. As I see it you are very close to Mike's Sky Rancho now. Probably driving in as I write this. Take a cool swim in the pool and have a nice dinner. Wish I was there.

    I have you tracked to Bay of LA. That was my favorite spot while I was helping with the race. Go have breakfast on the beach restaurant.

    I posted on Google but not sure if it went through. Wanted to tell you that my class is tracking you every minute of the day on the big screen. I would like to think they are learning about maps and Mexico but they really would rather hear more stories about the Preacher, the Teacher, the Trucker and the Friend. Wish I was there. Sure love to follow the track. Steve
